about

This song is about judging a book by it's cover and being a hypocrite as a result.

lyrics

Verse 1

A feeling of disgust when I look at a fat man,
But do I forget what I looked like back then?
I used to get bullied for it when I was a kid,
But continue to think all this judgmental shit.
When I’m in my car always beeping at old dears,
Because they’re driving safe, driving in slow gears,
But they’re just old senile fools who shouldn’t drive,
Coz my driving fast is obviously saving lives?!

Chorus

And I look badly at all of you,
Hypocritical and judgmental views
Why should I look down on you,
When underneath, I’m just the same.

Verse 2

Students are another lot who piss me off,
Spoiled toffs and do-gooding swots,
Leave uni, get a job, lead a team
Just another graduate commuter, just like me
I’m not racist, “I’ve even got black mates”
But I still look at an Arab with fear or distaste
But they’re not the ones to blame for the terrorists raids,
Nor is the colour of their skin or their ethnic race.

Middle-8

So why do I still judge a book by it’s cover,
Even with a life of learning and advice from my mother
Why is to blame for this judgmental shame?
Is it the media or the genes in my dark brain?
